University Life Diversity Golf Classic
Each year, University Life at George Mason University is pleased to sponsor the Diversity Scholarship Golf Classic. This exciting fundraising event helps support Mason's diverse student populations. The 2009 Golf Classic was held in June and helped fund diversity programs and scholarships at Mason. Seven Mason students who graduated from the Early Identification Program received scholarships from corporate sponsors Lockheed Martin, QinetiQ North America, and StudentVoice. The Moon Festival Benefit Performance
The New World Bilingual Institute and University Life co-sponsored The Moon Festival, a spectacular presentation of song and dance. The event showcased the Yellow River Art Ensemble and performers from China, Taiwan, and the United States. The audience enjoyed the special talents of the Gu Zheng (an ancient Chinese Zither) Group, the Chien Rong Taiwan Mountaineer Harvest Dance in the Moonlight, the talented YRAE chorus and instrumentalists, and talented ethnic dancers. Proceeds from the evening event directly benefitted Mason students by providing funds for scholarships and diversity programs.
