New Student and Family Programs serves as a liaison between the University and families, and provides an outlet for families to become active members of the Mason community through programming and outreach. Family Calendar
The calendar serves as a guide to help families navigate resources, important dates and policies at Mason. It is distributed at orientation throughout the summer, on move-in day, and at Family Weekend. An online version can be accessed at masonfamily.gmu.edu.

Mason Family Association
All families are encouraged to sign up for the dues-free Mason Family Association in order to receive timely and important university information. Members receive our weekly e-newsletter, the Mason Family Flash, which includes important tips and reminders and ensures that you stay informed and connected to Mason!
Parent and Family Council
Family members interested in looking for a way to be involved in the Mason community can apply to be part of our Parent and Family Council. This group of parent volunteers serves as advocates and a voice for all families at Mason.
Parent and Family Fund
The Parent and Family Fund offers parents and families the opportunity to play a role in building and shaping an exemplary educational experience for Mason students. You can be part of every student’s success by giving a gift of any size at any point throughout your student’s time at Mason.

Family Weekend
Engage with us during Family Weekend, our annual university-wide celebration, that takes place each fall. Events are designed to allow you to become familiar with university resources, spend time with your student, and learn more about life as a Mason Patriot.
Spring Family Fling
Experience the beauty of springtime in Northern Virginia at our Spring Family Fling. Our Spring Family Fling is a spring version of our fall Family Weekend. We invite you to bring your whole family to reconnect with your student the Mason way.
