Train the Trainer
Diversity Leadership Training
May 19-21, 9 a.m to 5 p.m.
The Multicultural Research and Resource Center houses Mason's chapter of the National Coalition Building Institute, dedicated to ending the mistreatment of every group based on nationality, race, class, gender, religion, sexual orientation, age, physical ability, and job or life circumstances.
The GMU/Northern Virginia NCBI Team seeks to develop leaders who can take principled stands, model being fierce allies for all groups, confront emotional group conflicts in an effort to resolve those issues that keep us divided, and build coalitions. The Team trains campus and community leaders in the skills of prejudice reduction, intergroup conflict resolution, and coalition building.
The Multicultural Research and Resource Center offers a three-day Train the Trainer Institute that will teach participants all the steps required to lead the Prejudice Reduction and Conflict Resolution Workshops. Participants learn how to begin the healing process that is a result of emotional and/or institutional discrimination. Participants also develop their own leadership skills and practice leading the workshop models. Click here for information. The workshop is currently full.
