Performance Management
UL Performance Management Purpose and Vision
A committee was created to develop standards for professional practice to support success in student affairs work. The committee was charged with incorporating those standards and successful completion of professional development goals and expectations into the annual evaluation process for all University Life staff through a performance management plan. The standards the committee developed are based on the NASPA rubric for professional development, the CAS standards, and the UL core values. The committee conducted research, analyzed survey data from across the division, and examined best practice in the field to revise the existing HR forms to incorporate the performance management plan and reflect the needs of the division as a whole. The committee also solicited guidance and approval of HR in the implementation of the new forms and plan.
