Best-Selling Author Lauds Mason as First University to Launch Major Well-Being Initiative

Kessie Herring came to George Mason University to major in a field that focuses on wellness and well-being. The freshman, who hopes to become a nurse, also found she’s a member of the first incoming class to be a part of George Mason’s new Well-Being University Initiative.

On Oct. 28 at the Center for the Arts on the Fairfax Campus, Herring was among the 1,200 Mason students, staff and faculty who got the chance to hear from Tom Rath, co-author of the best-selling book “How Full is Your Bucket?” that’s the focus of this year’s Mason Reads program.
