INTO Mason Students Volunteer at Community Events

INTO Mason student Mohammed Mahroos used to volunteer with his mother at a school in his hometown of Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

“Every week, I would always go with her to get supplies for the cafeteria,” he said. “They knew me and my mother.”

When his mother passed away six months ago, he was inspired to continue their tradition in his new home of Fairfax, Va. With encouragement from a cousin, he gathered some of his friends from INTO Mason at George Mason University and the local community to start a chapter of Us to U.S., a volunteer organization affiliated with the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission focused on creating positive social change all across the United States.
