Like other students, undocumented college students worry about how they will pay for college. However, some face the added challenge of not qualifying for federal aid.
The DREAM (Development Relief and Education for Alien Minors) Project Inc., a nonprofit organization that aids immigrants and children of immigrants with scholarships, is partnering with Mason DREAMers to help Mason’s undocumented students access higher education.
Mason DREAMers and the DREAM Project created an Indiegogo campaign to raise $25,000 to start a scholarship fund for undocumented Mason students. The campaign ends on April 2. As of March 18, a little more than $1,800 had been raised.
