We are excited to welcome our students back to campus for the Spring 2016 semester. As your student returns to campus, I wanted to take a moment to remind you that all of us at George Mason are here to help support and enrich your son’s or daughter’s total college experience. You have the opportunity to participate in that experience by encouraging your student to participate fully in all that the University and the campus have to offer.
University Life has over 30 professionally staffed offices to help your student succeed and grow. We offer everything from health services from health services to career services; disability services to international programs and services; off-campus student programs and services to wellness, alcohol, and violence education and services. University Life is dedicated to fostering a student community that supports integrity, safety, well-being, and civic learning and community engagement.
Encourage your student to explore some of the over 300 student organizations on campus; or to participate in the Winter Welcome Week activities during their first week back. The spring semester at Mason has many exciting and enriching events, designed with our students’ well-being in mind.
We hope that you and your student will frequently check our website, ulife.gmu.edu, and student involvement activities calendar. While your student enjoys the last few days of his or her winter break, we are all preparing and looking forward to the vibrancy and energy that your student’s return to campus will bring. We look forward to seeing your students again soon.
