An evening of food, community, and art
supporting Mason students facing food and housing insecurity.
Mason Empty Bowls is a special event where guests enjoy a light meal, music, and community while supporting Mason students in need. Each attendee selects a handmade bowl to take home as a reminder of those whose bowls are empty each day.
All proceeds from Mason’s Empty Bowls are donated to Mason’s Student Food and Housing Insecurity Fund, which provides direct assistance to students experiencing basic needs insecurity.

- During the Fall 2025 semester, 350 students relied on pantry support, with nearly 7,000 pounds of food distributed.
- During the 2024 – 25 academic year, 670 students relied on pantry support to address their food insecurity, with nearly 15,500 pounds of food distributed.
