China 1+2+1
China 1+2+1 is a dual degree program offered through a cooperation with the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) and the China Center for International Education Exchange (CCIEE). Students in participating Chinese universities have the opportunity to apply to study at member US state universities. George Mason is partnered with 25 universities across China and recruits students from these universities in 15 different undergraduate majors. For the first year, students in the program take classes at their home university in China. The following two (to three) years are spent at Mason taking courses in their major and the final year is spent back at the Chinese home university. After completing all course requirements from both universities, students graduate with two degrees – one from their Chinese university and one from George Mason.
International Programs and Services
International Programs and Services advises non-immigrant students, scholars, faculty, and staff at George Mason University on a range of issues vital to Mason’s international community. The office assists international students and scholars with processing key documents, provides educational cultural and social programs including the annual International Week held each April, and provides advising on a walk-in and appointment basis.
INTO Mason
INTO Mason provides language instruction and pathway programs to international students who are academically prepared, but need additional English language skills to succeed at Mason. Upon successful completion of these programs, students gain full admission into one of Mason’s degree programs to continue their studies. Mason collaborates with INTO University Partnerships Limited (INTO) to recruit students and to provide the language instruction and pathway programs.
