Unapologetic Guide to Black Mental Health Book Club
Today we launch the Well-Being for the People Book Club for The Unapologetic Guide to Black Mental Health, a book by Dr. Rheeda Walker.

This program is co-sponsored by collective departments at both George Mason University and the George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs. Collaborators include the Center for the Advancement of Well-Being (CWB), Student Engagement for Racial Justice (SERJ), Truth Racial Health and Transformation Centers (TRHT) and in partnership with Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS).
Within a week of registering for the book club, you will receive an email including:
-A link to the electronic copy of the book
-A book club pod assignment and facilitator
-Or a link to purchase the book at a discounted rate (depend on book availability)
*please consider purchasing the book if you can afford it. We are prioritizing students to receive the free books but supplies are limited!*
Following the reading of the book, we will host a roundtable discussion October 28 via Zoom with the Author and Benny Starr, a hip-hop artist from South Carolina. Details to register coming soon!
